Harvard Grad Shares Inspiring Story of Overcoming Extreme Poverty – InspirEmerge
Shannon Satonori Lytle the ordinary next door boy in Ohio had an extraordinary dream. At his high school back in Ohio he was told that he should never dream of top colleges in America as those are for the children of doctors and lawyers.
Shannon had a brilliant sense of faith in his abilities and various possibilities of the world. He worked extremely hard to realize his dreams. To buy a laptop Shannon had to work 150 hours. After school, he used to work at McDonald’s till late evening. He had three baby siblings at home to take care of, after putting them to bed he used to study till early morning.
Extreme hard work got paid off when last week Shannon graduated from Harvard.
Shannon shared on his social media handle after his graduation that he had to walk through dangerous part of the city because he couldn’t afford a car. He was not in a position to afford a WiFi and had to steel neighbor’s WiFi to finish his schoolwork.
Shannon cleaned toilets, shelved books, and sold clothing so that he can chase his dreams and travel the world one day. The son of a warehouse worker had not only realized his own dream but now he is an inspiration for the world that there are always possibilities in every adversity.
